I was drawn to the delicate chaos of snapdragons—the way their petals stack like tiny flames in shades of coral, cream, and deep burgundy. This piece captures them in a clear glass vase, where light filters through the water and glass, softening their edges into impressionistic brushstrokes. I wanted to convey that fleeting moment when cut flowers are at their most alive, before they begin to fade. The vase becomes almost transparent in places, a vessel that holds both the flowers and the light itself.
